Its been a while since I have posted but as you can see from the above picture I haven't been idle. I am pretty satisfied with what I was able to finish. 5 Terminators, 5 Tactical marines and a full man Tactical Squad. The terminators and the 10 man Tac squad are both from the Assault on Black Reach box set. Not bad in my opinion for snap fit mini's.
This is a close up of the 5 man Tac squad, this is the remainder of the 5 man squad I completed last month. As you can see I incorporated a checker pattern on the sergeant loin cloth. Checker pattern is used mainly by Orks, the idea is these guys have been campaigning against Orks for so long they are starting to incorporate some subtle markings to show their veterancy in the caompaign.
And this is a close up of the Terminator squad. Overall I am pretty pleased with how they turned out. I think I am somewhere around the 300 mark in points. I am heading out of town for 10 days, so unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the cannon. On the bright side, 5 marines of a tactical squad were completed. So far the Dark Tower community and this blog have been great for my motivation. I hope to come back in just shy of two weeks and get that cannon finished.

Thunderfire Techmarine

Here is the Thunderfire Techmarine gunner in the early stages. I treated him the same way as a normal space marine. Black Primer and a Regal Blue airbrush. I have piqued out some details in boltgun metal with a badab black wash. The red I used was Mecharite Red, a foundation paint. Scroll work is Bleached Bone.

Here he is almost finished. I need to detail him a little more, adding highlights, shoulder decal and basing. Techmarine's are a ton of work, but they are an impressive model. I have a growing dependancy on Badab Black.
